This is traditionally the first inter-club cross-country race of the season. It is organised by Olympic Harriers.
No membership required, it is a great way for runners to decide whether to join as a recreational or competitive runner for the upcoming year. Online registration will be available a few weeks before the event to sign-up to be allocated to a team.
All entry fees will be covered by the club.
VENUE: Battle Hill Farm Park – Pauatahanui, Paekakariki Hill Rd, Porirua, Wellington. (6km north of Pauatahanui General Store).
DISTANCE: 1km for the U10's mass-start race; 2km lap for the relay - cross-country.
COURSE: Grass, gravel tracks, mostly flat to undulating with one sharp uphill & downhill. Log jumps and a water jump. Course marked with Red & White flags. Go through ‘gate’ when two flags are set together or up to 5 metres either side if flags set alone. Failing to follow the correct course may result in disqualification.
Teams of 4 can enter in the following age groups.

No membership required to enter the Victoria University Relay but you must be a Competitive Member to enter the Wellington Mixed XC Champs. Online registration will be available a few weeks before the event to sign-up to be allocated to a team.

VENUE: Queen Elizabeth Park, near Paraparaumu.
DISTANCES: 1.2km for U10's mass-start race; 2km for U14’s relay; 3.5km for the U20's. Senior's and Master's relay.
COURSE: Grass, gravel tracks, undulating with several short uphill & downhill sections. Course marked with flags. Go through ‘gate’ when two flags are set together or up to 5 metres either side if flags set alone. Failing to follow the correct course may result in disqualification.

U14 Children's Championship Relay - teams of 3 athletes running over the 1.5-2 km lap. Each team is to have at least 1 male and 1 female, running in any order.

Teams of 4 runners that comprise 2 females and 2 males (Running order must be Male, Female, Male, Female), in the following grades:
The Victoria University Relay
This is a non-championship relay, a “no-rules” grade with 4 runners of any age & gender, where a team might consist of members of different clubs & where a runner might run twice (or more) in the same team without penalty.
